2:00 – 3:30 Check-in at Residence Hall
3:30 – 4:30 Parent orientation at ATSH (students participate in environmental literacy survey)
4:30 – 5:00 Ice breaker activities
5:00 – 6:00 Cook out at the Quad (rain location Boozel)
6:30 – 7:00 “The Story of Stuff” film
7:00 – 8:30 Overview class: ecology, environmental ethics, energy, climate change
8:30 – 11:00 Optional activities (environmental films, recreational activities, nighttime nature hike at Macoskey Center (Tues. & Weds.), basketball at Morrow Field House)
11:00 – 11:15 Room check by teachers (all students in room by 11:00)

Wednesday, June 21

8:30 – 10:15 Track #1: Food & Agriculture Class
10:15 – 12:00 Track #2: Macoskey Center Tour of LEED Bldg., site permaculture design, organic gardens, alternative energy systems
12:00 – 1:00 Lunch at Boozel
1:00 – 3:00 Track #3: Leadership training course
3:00 – 5:00 Track #4: Sustainable features campus tour
5:00 – 5:30 Transition time
5:30 – 6:30 Dinner at Boozel
6:30 – 8:30 Community project planning/mentoring sessions at Vincent Sci. Center
8:30 – 10:30 Optional activities (environmental films, recreational activities, nighttime nature hike at Macoskey Center (Tues. & Weds.), basketball at Morrow Field House)

8:45 – 10:15 Track #1: Water & air quality class at Pavilion
10:15 – 12:00 Track #2: Nautical Nature pontoon boat tour
12:00 – 1:00 Boxed lunch at Pavilion
1:00 – 3:00 Track #3: Kayaking at Lake Arthur
3:00 – 4:30 Track #4: Habitat class & bluebird box project
5:00 – 5:30 Return to SRU
5:30 – 6:30 Dinner at Boozel
6:30 – 8:30 Community project planning/mentoring sessions at Vincent Sci. Center

8:30 – 10:15 Track #1: Geologic hike at McConnells Mills
10:15 – 12:00 Track #2: Forest ecology hike at McConnells Mills
12:00 – 1:00 Boxed lunch on bus en route to Jennings Env. Center
1:00 – 3:00 Track #3: Acid waste mine tour & water sample testing at Jennings Env. Center
3:00 – 5:00 Track #4: Eastern prairie tour at Jennings Env. Center
5:00 – 5:30 Return to SRU
5:30 – 6:30 Dinner at Boozel
6:30 – 8:30 Community project planning/mentoring sessions at Vincent Sci. Center
